Job summary

Gigamon is looking for a seasoned quality assurance engineer to validate Gigamon’s network visibility fabric product in Chennai. You will contribute to test and automation efforts within a cross-functional team to achieve project quality goals.

Responsibilities include designing and automating functional, usability, performance, scaling and stress tests, delivering automation code, and driving improvements to automation coverage while ensuring scalable, fault-tolerant systems across enterprise

Qualifications

• BS in CS or related field.
• 10+ years of hands-on quality, development and/or automation experience in virtualization and networking.
• Extensive test automation and scripting skills (Python or some scripting language).
• Hands-on experience with various test automation framework (Robot, Python) and test automation tools (Cypress).
• Demonstrated experience in testing UI/UX performance and usability.
• Experienced in various aspects of systems test, and in QA processes.
• Demonstrated experience in testing highly scalable and fault tolerant systems including software upgrade, distributed control, and redundancy.
• Knowledge of network management concepts and basic protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, L2/L3 protocols, IPv4, IPv6, NAT, DNS).
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP layer, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL protocols, REST services and hands on experience on testing them.
• Experience in validating deliverables in Enterprise, Datacenter, Public or Private cloud environments (e.g., VMware, OpenStack, AWS).
• Hands on experience in creating test beds for customer use case centric as well as scalability and performance testing.
• Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
• Must have a true passion and focus for delivering quality products.

What You’ll Do
