Lattice Semiconductor is seeking a Staff-level Firmware Engineer in Pune, India, to architect firmware solutions for Edge AI and drive technical excellence across teams. You will shape firmware architecture, mentor engineers, and contribute to software development activities while collaborating with hardware, product, and design groups.

The role offers opportunities to influence multiple projects, participate in code reviews, and ensure scalable, high-performance firmware across the product line.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electronics, Electronics/EE, CS or equivalent.
• 15+ years of firmware development experience for embedded systems.
• Expertise in C/C++ and RTOS.
• Strong background in system-level design and hardware–software co-design.

Responsabilidades

• Define and drive firmware architecture and technical strategy for edge AI.
• Lead complex firmware design and integration across multiple projects.
• Mentor junior and senior engineers and conduct code reviews.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and product teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Ensure system-level scalability, reliability, and performance.

Lattice Semiconductor is seeking a Staff level engineer for the Firmware team focused on architecting solutions for Edge AI. The selected candidate should be involved in driving technical excellence and shape the architecture of our firmware systems. This position is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team with ample opportunity to contribute, learn, innovate, and grow. It will also provide an opportunity to contribute to software development activities.

Roles/Responsibility Specifics

• This position is in Pune, India.
• The candidate will be involved in driving technical strategy and architecture for firmware systems.
• The candidate will lead complex design and integration efforts across multiple projects.
• The candidate will act as a technical mentor to junior and senior engineers
• The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, product) to deliver integrated solutions.
• The candidate will actively participate in Code Reviews to ensure code quality.
• The candidate will ensure scalability, reliability and performance at a system level.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 15+ years of experience in firmware development for embedded systems.
• Expertise in programming languages such as C/C++.
• Strong background in RTOS and system-level design.
• Experience in hardware-software co-design.
• Demonstrated ability in performance optimization at scale.

Preferred Skills (Good To Have)

• Python programming
• Experience with ARM/RISC-V architectures, FPGA, microcontrollers.
• Familiarity with I2C, SPI, UART, PCIe, MIPI interfaces.
• Knowledge of digital design, CMOS technology, basic electronics
• Prior experience in technical leadership or project ownership.
