Job summary

Lattice Semiconductor in Pune, India, is seeking an Engineer-2 for the Firmware team focused on Edge AI. You will design and optimize firmware powering next‑generation embedded devices and collaborate across hardware and software teams.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in embedded firmware with C/C++, RTOS or RT-Linux, and a background in ARM architectures. This is a full‑time on‑site role at our Pune facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of firmware development for embedded systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and RTOS, RT-Linux or bare‑metal coding.

Responsibilities

Lattice Semiconductor is seeking Engineer‑2 role for the Firmware team focused on architecting solutions for Edge AI. The selected candidate will be involved in designing and optimizing firmware that powers our next‑generation products. Roles/Responsibility Specifics

• This position is in Pune, India.
• The candidate will be involved in assisting with the design, development, and testing of firmware for embedded systems.
• The candidate will work on optimizing performance, reliability and resource utilization of the embedded systems.
• The candidate will have to collaborate with the hardware and software teams to integrate debug and release firmware.
• The candidate will actively participate in Code Reviews to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams that are spread globally.
• Document firmware design and development processes implemented by the candidate.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in firmware development for embedded systems.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++.
• Experience with RTOS, RT‑Linux or Bare‑metal coding.
• Familiarity with debugging tools and techniques.

Preferred Skills (Good To Have)

• Python programming
• Experience with ARM architectures, FPGA, microcontrollers.
• Familiarity with I2C, SPI, UART, PCIe.
• Knowledge of digital design, CMOS technology, basic electronics
