Charles Schwab India in Hyderabad is seeking a senior software engineer to join an AI-augmented development team. You will work on a Microsoft stack, with exposure to finance, containerized platforms, and data systems.

The role emphasizes code quality, collaboration, and adopting AI-assisted workflows to enhance productivity. Strong experience in .NET/C#, SQL/NoSQL, and testing is required, along with familiarity with GitHub/Jira/Rally.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of development using a Microsoft technology stack, including .NET and C# with exposure to financial industry.
• 2+ years of containerized platforms such as PCF.
• 2+ years with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Strong OOP, algorithms, and data structures; experience with unit/integration tests.
• Experience with scripting languages and efficient storage/retrieval techniques.
• Hands-on with GitHub, Jira, Rally; AI-assisted development tools usage.
• Awareness of Generative AI concepts and responsible application in software development.
• Ability to collaborate in AI-augmented environments with code reviews and quality standards.
• Experience applying automation/AI-driven approaches to improve systems and workflows.

What you have

Required Skills -

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of development using a Microsoft technology stack, including .NET and C# with exposure to financial industry
• 2+ years of experience with containerized platform such as Pivotal Cloud foundry (PCF)
• 2+ years of experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Strong experience with object-oriented programming concepts, including algorithms and data structures. Strong experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Experience with scripting languages and efficient storage and retrieval techniques
• Exposure in Tools such as GitHub, Jira, Rally.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or equivalent) to improve productivity, code quality, and development efficiency within the SDLC.
• Practical understanding of Generative AI concepts and how to apply them responsibly in day-to-day engineering workflows, including code generation, refactoring, documentation, and test support.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in AI-augmented development environments, leveraging AI tools while maintaining strong engineering judgment, code reviews, and quality standards.
• Experience applying automation and AI-driven approaches to improve existing systems, workflows, or operational processes.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging AI capabilities, tooling, and industry best practices relevant to software development and system modernization.
• Experience with Messaging technologies such as kafka/MQSome exposure/knowledge of AI & AI based automation (exposure to GitHub Copilot preferred along with some Python skills)

Preferred Skills -

• Experience as a developer on an agile scrum team is a plus.
