Job summary

Zinnia is seeking an experienced client-focused consultant for life, annuity, and financial services, bridging operations, technology, and business strategy. You will lead discovery sessions, define solutions, and ensure delivery aligns with client objectives and enterprise standards.

You will translate business needs into practical Zinnia solutions, drive opportunity identification, and collaborate with Operations, Technology, Finance, Compliance, and Tax to deliver scalable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field - or equivalent work experience.
• 7-10 years of experience in life, annuity, or financial services, with exposure to business and technology.
• Proven expertise in business analysis, systems analysis, or solution design within enterprise tech.
• Deep understanding of interdependencies between Operations, Technology, Finance, Compliance, and Tax.
• Strong SDLC planning and requirements methodologies.
• Knowledge of agile practices; familiarity with JIRA and Airtable.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; strategic and tactical thinking.
• Experience leading client-facing solution sessions and presenting to executives.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; PM tools preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
• Occasional travel for client meetings or workshops.

Responsibilities

• Lead initial project scoping and analysis activities, including pricing exercises and impact assessments.
• Facilitate detailed Solution Definition meetings with stakeholders to achieve cohesive solutions.
• Conduct solution planning sessions to align cross-functional teams and delivery objectives.
• Leverage knowledge of client implementations, operations, and Zinnia's offerings to ensure practical, scalable solutions.
• Act as the voice of the customer, translating objectives into actionable Zinnia solutions within IT/architectural frameworks.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and efficiency in client engagements.
• Support estimation and proposal processes by clarifying scope, dependencies, and risks.
• Partner with Operations, Technology, Finance, Compliance, Tax to ensure comprehensive design.
• Assist with training initiatives to build organizational knowledge and evolve delivery practices.
• Serve as a trusted advisor ensuring client solutions align with strategic goals and operational realities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think both strategically and tactically.


• Experience leading client-facing solution sessions and presenting to executive-level stakeholders.


• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace; familiarity with project managementtools preferred.


• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
