Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or MIS from an accredited school.

• 6+ years on projects involving system integration, data mapping and transformation.
• Experience implementing GridScale X MDM MDMS is mandatory with meter-to-cash modules.
• Proficient in Java, Oracle, SQL; strong Webservices (SOAP/REST) and XML.
• Exposure to SAP IS-U/EDM integration and SAP Adapter for data sync and billing.

Senior Solution Engineer

Position Overview

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Solution Engineer/Lead with +7 years of software delivery experience in the utility industry to join our Digital Solutions team..
• The Senior Solution Engineer/Lead (SSE) is a key technical resource on software implementation , integration projects within the Digital utility practice and ensures the technical success of the project.
• The SSE is a customer facing delivery expert, technology driven, resourceful, deadline-oriented and has strong analytical and root cause analysis skills. An SSE will support the technical deliverables of the implementation project including configuring, testing, tracking, and managing technical tasks.
• The SSE works closely with the Solution Architect (SA) and the Project Manager (PM) to ensure that the technical solution meets the customer's needs and business objectives.
• The SSE has deep experience in delivering MDMS projects and would be comfortable in the Solution Lead role on the project. The SSE ensures that the delivery of the technical solution falls within TRC Digital Solutions standard processes and tools.
• The SSE will possess the ability to work independently, remotely, and multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
• Experience implementing and testing Meter Data Management System (MDMS) software. Experience with the Siemens GridScale X MDM software is desired.
• Experience in integrating the GridScaleX MDM with SAP IS-U and SAP EDM systems using the SAP Adapter to enable master data synchronization and end-to-end billing processes.
• Assists Solution Lead/Architect and Project Manager with scope management, project planning, milestones and work and resource estimates
• Acts as a technical expert supporting the Solution Lead and Solution Architect in the design of the solution to meet the customer requirements. Depending on the level of experience, the candidate may be the Solution Lead on the project.
• Develops project deliverables for the Client project team during design phase
• Participates in the Build and Test phase of the project (configures and tests) to ensure delivery of the solution on plan and adhering to technical best practices.
• Responsible for ensuring testing is completed to a high standard and on schedule by developing test cases, executing unit and integration testing, documenting test results, and providing evidence that the solution is fully tested, help customer during User Acceptance Testing.
• Documents requirements for custom development and works with custom development team to ensure requirements are met
• Develops and delivers onsite end user training, as needed.
• Supports proposals and participates in RFP activities including clarifications, support of short list presentation and supporting scope definition in contract development and negotiations, as and when required.

• Ability to troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Technology from an accredited school or university is required
• A minimum of 7 years of software delivery experience is required. Utility industry background is required
• 6+ years working on projects involving integration between systems, writing SQL queries or similar, performing data mapping and data transformation.
• Experience with implementing GridScale X MDM MDMS is mandatory with the meter to cash
• modules like synchronization, meter reads processing, provisioning, VEE, framing, billing, DTS, Event Management.
• Integration experience with HES, CIS, Data Lake systems, OMS, etc.
• Experience with documentation writing like Technical Interface, Configuration workbook, Functional document.
• Technical skills Required: Java, JEE, Shell Scripting, Oracle, Webservices/JMS, Linux.
• Experience with Database design, SQL, JDBC, JPA, etc.
• Experience with Webservices, XML, SOAP, RESTful. Etc
• Experience with BIRT is required and other Business Intelligence Reporting such as PowerBI, Tableau and Cognos is helpful.
• Good to have: Exposure to Azure, AWS.
• Experience working with real-time systems and data connectivity is preferred.

Travel:

• Up to 25% travel throughout India, although there may be some periods in the project where consecutive weeks of travel may be required.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Someone who has worked on utility MDMS implementations, particularly Siemens GridScale X MDM, with strong SAP IS-U/EDM integration experience, solid Java & Oracle skills, and the ability to independently lead customer-facing implementation projects from design through testing and go-live.

Total Years of Experience: 6+ Years

Must have skills:

• Utility industry experience is mandatory.
• Hands-on MDMS implementation experience is mandatory.
• Strong experience with GridScale X MDM (Siemens).
