Job summary

GetixHealth is seeking a Sr. Software Test Engineer (SDET) in Bangalore to spearhead manual and automated testing across enterprise applications. You will design robust test scripts, RTMs, and test plans, and drive test readiness through planning, defect management, and reporting.

You will validate RESTful APIs and back-end services built with C#, PHP, and Python, and promote TDD/BDD and shift-left practices while collaborating with DevOps to embed tests in CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years in SDET or Quality Engineering in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on testing of RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright or equivalent automation tools.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI.
• Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC, Agile, and QA practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on manual and automated testing across enterprise apps (Functional, Integration, UAT, Regression).
• Design and maintain automated test scripts, frameworks, data sets, and reusable assets.
• Create RTMs, test plans, cases, and scenarios for full test coverage.
• Review requirements and designs to identify risks and testability gaps.
• Lead test readiness activities: planning, scope, scheduling, defect mgmt, reporting.

• Perform hands‑on manual and automated testing across enterprise applications, including Functional, Integration, End‑to‑End, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Regression testing.
• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize automated test scripts, frameworks, test data sets, and reusable test assets.
• Create and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs), test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to ensure complete test coverage.
• Review and validate business requirements, functional specifications, and solution designs to identify risks, gaps, and testability concerns.
• Lead test readiness activities, including test planning, scope definition, script development, execution scheduling, defect management, and test reporting.
• Perform API and backend testing for RESTful services and enterprise applications developed using C#, PHP, and Python.
• Drive adoption of testing standards, quality engineering best practices, and scalable test management processes.
• Expand and enhance the organization's test automation footprint through script development, code reviews, deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Development and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
• Promote shift‑left testing, Test‑Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior‑Driven Development (BDD) practices to improve software quality throughout the SDLC.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in SDET, Software Testing, Quality Engineering, or related roles within enterprise environments on both manual and automation testing methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience testing applications, RESTful APIs, and backend services developed using C#, PHP, and Python technologies.
• Experience with automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Playwright or equivalent.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, defect lifecycle management, and quality engineering practices.
• Experience with TDD, BDD, shift‑left testing, and continuous testing approaches.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or equivalent.
• Hands‑on experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
