Job summary

AMERICAN EXPRESS is seeking a Sr Software Engineer I to lead end-to-end development of software applications, ensure best practices, and mentor junior engineers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and integration across platforms.

The role requires strong experience in Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM, RESTful interfaces, SQL/PLSQL, and cloud services. You will contribute to design, development, testing and deployment while upholding coding standards and driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or comparable experience.
• 8+ years of technical experience in Oracle Cloud ERP/EPM design and development; General Ledger, AHCS, EDMCS, FCCS, EPCM.
• Hands-on experience in REST/JSON/XML interfaces, batch processing and SQL/PLSQL.
• Strong experience in Fusion Finance and SCM BIP/OTBI reports.
• ERP Cloud customization knowledge: Sandboxes, Page Integrations, Page Composer; VBCS/APEX a plus.
• GCP expertise with storage, Functions and Run; cloud-native design awareness.
• Experience with web services and open API development.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, NoSQL and relational databases.

Job description

Sr Software Engineer I leads the end-to-end development of software applications, ensures adherence to best practices, mentors and coaches junior engineers, and collaborates with teams to optimize performance and integration.

Education Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or comparable experience; advanced degree preferred
• 8+ years of technical experience in the design and development in Oracle cloud pertaining to Oracle Financials -General Ledger ,AHCS , EDMCS , FCCS , EPCM
• Hand on experience in building integration/interfaces based on webservices ( REST using JSON, XML), File based interfaces (Batch Processing), Database (SQL and PLSQL) , OIC and Workflows
• Strong technical experience in Fusion Finance and SCM BIP reports, BICC reports and OTBI reports
• Should be aware of customization process in ERP Cloud: Sandboxes, Page Integrations, Application and Page Composer . VBCS/APEX good to have
• Strong understanding in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) along with Cloud storage ,Cloud Functions and Cloud run
• Experience with web services, open API development, and its concepts.
• Knowledge of distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, NoSQL, and relational databases
