Job summary

American Express in Gurugram is hiring a Sr Software Engineer I to lead end-to-end software development, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across teams to optimize performance and integration with Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM applications.

You will contribute to design, development, testing, deployment and documentation, work in an Agile team, and share best practices while applying GCP services and REST/XML web interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of Oracle Cloud ERP/Finance development experience.
• Hands-on integration development using REST/JSON, XML, SQL/PLSQL.
• Experience with Fusion Finance, BIP, OTBI, and ERP Cloud customizations.
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and related services.
• Proficient in building scalable, multi-tier distributed systems.

Responsibilities

Sr Software Engineer I leads the end-to-end development of software applications, ensures adherence to best practices, mentors and coaches junior engineers, and collaborates with teams to optimize performance and integration.

Responsibilities

Contributes to design, development, troubleshooting, debugging, evaluating, modifying, deploying and documenting software and systems that meet the needs of Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM applications

Responsible for all technical aspects of software development for assigned applications - performs hands-on coding, technical design and development of systems

Function as member of an Agile team by contributing to software builds through consistent development practices

Mentors junior Software Engineers and cross-functional team of colleagues, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation

Provides guidance and support to junior engineers, fostering professional growth and development within the team

Directs the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications and systems

Oversees a variety of tasks, platforms, and technologies to expand new and existing software to meet changing requirements

Writes automated unit tests to ensure correctness and stability

Provides technical guidance to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards

Monitors software performance and implements improvements to optimize functionality

Analyses technical challenges and provides innovative solutions to enhance software quality and efficiency

Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software solutions

Collaborates and co-creates effectively with teams in product and the business to align technology initiatives with business objectives

Qualifications

Education Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or comparable experience; advanced degree preferred

8+ years of technical experiencein the design and development in Oracle cloud pertaining toOracle Financials -General Ledger ,AHCS , EDMCS , FCCS , EPCM

Hand on experience in building integration/interfaces based on webservices ( REST using JSON, XML), File based interfaces (Batch Processing), Database (SQL and PLSQL) , OIC and Workflows

Strong technical experience in Fusion Finance and SCM BIP reports, BICC reports and OTBI reports

Should be aware of customization process in ERP Cloud: Sandboxes, Page Integrations, Application and Page Composer . VBCS/APEX good to have

Strong understanding in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) along with Cloud storage ,Cloud Functions and Cloud run

Experience with web services, open API development, and its concepts.

Knowledge of distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, NoSQL, and relational databases
