Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Sr Software Engineer to design and deliver high quality enterprise applications in a hybrid work model. Qualifications

• Eight to twelve years of software engineering experience delivering enterprise applications.
• Advanced hands-on Angular 13-16 including component design and performance tuning.
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Framework for backend services.
• Expert SQL development including query optimization and schema design.
• Experience with Azure services such as web apps storage and monitoring.
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript including modern patterns.
• Domain exposure to investment banking operations preferred.

Job Summary

Sr Software Engineer B3 will design and deliver high quality enterprise applications using Angular C Sharp SQL Azure JavaScript and Net Framework within a hybrid work model. The role focuses on building secure scalable solutions for investment banking and brokerage operations ensuring resilient performance data integrity and seamless user experiences that support global financial services and societal trust in digital markets.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust front end features using Angular versions thirteen to sixteen to deliver intuitive responsive and accessible user interfaces for complex investment banking workflows and brokerage operations.
• Develop high quality server side components using C Sharp and Net Framework that provide secure performant and reusable services to support transaction processing and operational efficiency.
• Architect and optimize database schemas and queries in SQL to ensure high reliability data integrity and fast execution for large scale financial datasets and reporting needs.
• Integrate applications with Azure services including app hosting storage and monitoring to achieve scalable resilient and maintainable cloud solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
• Collaborate with product owners business analysts and operations stakeholders to translate investment banking and brokerage requirements into detailed technical designs and implementation plans.
• Implement clean modular JavaScript and TypeScript code for complex client side logic improving usability reducing defects and supporting long term maintainability of the front end.
• Apply secure coding practices and conduct rigorous code reviews to reduce vulnerabilities ensure regulatory compliance and safeguard sensitive financial and customer information.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production and nonproduction incidents by analyzing logs performance metrics and user feedback to restore stability and prevent recurrence.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation including design specifications configuration details and deployment steps to support knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
• Coordinate with quality engineering teams to define test strategies build automated test suites and validate functionality performance and security requirements before releases.
• Plan and execute application deployments and configuration changes in Azure and related environments ensuring minimal downtime and smooth transition through careful validation and rollback strategies.
• Mentor junior engineers through constructive feedback pairing and guidance on best practices in Angular C Sharp SQL and cloud technologies to elevate overall team capability.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives by proposing enhancements to architecture coding standards and tooling that improve development velocity and system reliability.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate eight to twelve years of experience in software engineering with a strong track record of delivering enterprise applications in hybrid work settings.
• Possess advanced hands on expertise in Angular versions thirteen to sixteen including component design state management and performance tuning for complex web applications.
• Show deep proficiency in C Sharp and Net Framework for building scalable secure and reusable backend services used in mission critical financial systems.
• Exhibit strong skills in SQL development including query optimization indexing and schema design to support high volume transactional and analytical workloads.
• Bring practical experience with Azure services such as web apps storage identity and monitoring to design and operate cloud based solutions in an enterprise environment.
• Apply solid knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript including modern patterns and frameworks to ensure maintainable and testable front end implementations.
• Preferably have domain exposure to investment banking operations and investment banking and brokerage to understand trade lifecycles regulatory constraints and operational processes.
