Job summary

Arthrex India is seeking a senior software engineer to design, develop, and maintain web and mobile applications with emphasis on reliability, security, and performance. You will lead cross-functional teams, mentor juniors, and contribute to architecture and deployment within a regulated medical environment.

The role requires expertise in C#, TypeScript, Angular, Node.js, and real-time 3D platforms such as Unity/Unreal. Cloud exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP) and secure coding practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience including developing and managing software application development.
• Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional teams independently.
• Proficiency in web and/or mobile application system design with focus on reliability, security, and performance.

Job description

• Design, develop, and maintain web and/or mobile applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
• Implement software solutions in line with CI/CD pipelines, secure coding practices, and regulatory guidelines.
• Translate high-level and abstract requirements into reliable, maintainable, and functional software.
• Research, evaluate, and integrate new technologies to improve development efficiency and product quality.
• Ensure applications are robust, scalable, sustainable, and aligned with design intent.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Software Quality Assurance (SQA), TechOps, and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Deliver software solutions that support surgeons, medical facilities, and patients.
• Contribute to technical leadership, including project ownership and mentoring junior engineers.
• Contribute to application architecture, interface design, analysis and simulation, prototyping, verification, and deployment while adhering to design control and security standards.

Skill Requirements

Primary Skills (Must have skills) :

• Proficiency in web and/or mobile application system design, including reliability, security, and performance considerations.
• Proficiency in two or more programming languages or frameworks, such as: C#, TypeScript, Python, Node.js, Angular
• Proficiency with one or more database technologies, such as: MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, DynamoDB
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with real-time 3D development platforms such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Advanced knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience developing frontend and backend web applications, including networking and database integration.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure software implementation.
• Experience designing architectures for small to medium-scale software systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical ideas and recommendations.
• Ability to coach and mentor junior-level engineers.
• Proficient in MVVM / MVC / Clean Architecture patterns.
• Experience writing unit, integration, or automated UI tests. Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) concepts.

Secondary Skills: (Good to Have)

• Familiarity with medical imaging standards (DICOM).
• Understanding of clinical workflows (pre-op planning, post-op evaluation).
• Experience with 3D math and geometry (vectors, matrices, transforms).
• Experience in Qt, C++
• Familiarity with WebGL, GPU pipelines, or shader basics.
• Experience optimizing rendering performance for large or complex meshes.
