Job summary

Aptiv in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced ADAS algorithm engineer to design, develop and test advanced driver assistance systems. You will work on lane detection, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and traffic sign recognition with MATLAB, Simulink and embedded C/C++.

Collaborate with perception, motion planning and control teams, optimize performance with data from cameras, radar, lidar and ultrasonic sensors, and release algorithms to customers.

Qualifications

• 6 to 8 years’ experience in ADAS algorithm development.
• Proficient in MATLAB & Simulink and Embedded C, C++, Targetlink.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
• Critical & proactive thinker with excellent problem‑solving, communication and teamwork skills.
• Good understanding of ASPICE.
• Experience with version control and issue tracking on large collaborative projects (Plastic, Git, Jira, Jenkins, or similar).
• Flexibility to shift between different perception tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years’ experience in automotive embedded software development.
• Experience with model‑based development using Simulink and Stateflow or expertise in Embedded C/C++.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet.
• Knowledge of embedded operating systems/software stacks (AUTOSAR).
• Prior experience with CI/CD or build management (e.g., CMake, Bazel).
• Familiarity with Python.
• Experience in code profiling and optimization.
• Experience in DevOps tools.
