The candidate will work on Android/Linux-based platforms, debug on embedded systems, and ensure seamless media experience across multiple environments. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required with 5–7 years of experience.

• Familiarity with Android/Linux multimedia frameworks and build systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop multimedia features across Android/Linux automotive platforms.
• Integrate components like Media Framework, Audio HAL, USB/BT media, codecs.
• Resolve playback failures and USB/BT disconnections; perform root-cause analysis.
• Analyze logs (logcat, dmesg) and kernel traces to fix issues.
• Collaborate with QA and devops to ensure robust media pipelines.

Role Summary

TheMedia Engineer will be responsible for design, development, integration, andtroubleshooting of multimedia components within automotive infotainmentsystems. This includes handling Media Frameworks, USB/iPod/BT media, Audio HALinteractions, codecs, playback pipelines, and ensuring seamless mediaexperience across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Development

• Develop and integrate multimedia featuresacross Android/Linux–based automotive platforms.
• Work on components such as Media Framework,Audio HAL, USB Manager, iPod Manager, BT Audio stack, and codec integration.
• Implement feature enhancements and performanceimprovements for media playback.
• Analyze and resolve issues related to playbackfailures, track switching, USB/BT disconnections, and iPod integration.
• Perform root cause analysis using logcat,dmesg, kernel logs, and other analyzer tools.

2 . Tools & Technologies

• UnitTesting with Gtest and Junit
• Log analysis tools, JIRA, Git/Gerrit, SVN

3. Required Skills /MandatorySkills:

• Strong expertise in Android or Linuxmultimedia frameworks.
• Good debugging skills on embedded platforms.
• Good understanding of USB, iPod, and Bluetoothmedia flows.
• Strong Experience with C/C++/Java/Kotlin /AdvacneC++
• Good Experiencewith AOSP, Git/Gerrit, and build systems.

4. Preferred Skills :

• Understanding CAN/LIN diagnostics related toaudio/media.

Education

Bachelor’s/ master's degree in computer science, Electronics, or a related field.
