Job summary

Capgemini in Chennai is seeking a highly skilled Java Tech Lead with 9–12 years of experience to join the dynamic team. You will lead back-end development using Java technologies with AWS, and exposure to treasury and capital markets will be advantageous.

You will mentor teams, drive architecture decisions, and deliver high-performance, scalable applications while collaborating with stakeholders and senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Experienced Java Technology Leader with strong expertise in Core Java (Java 8/11/17), Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and enterprise application development.
• Proven ability to lead end-to-end design, architecture, and development of scalable, high-performance applications.
• Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, data structures, and development best practices.
• Hands-on with Oracle and PostgreSQL, including performance tuning and production support.
• Experience driving CI/CD, DevOps, Agile methodologies, Git, Jenkins, and delivery frameworks.
• Demonstrated leadership in mentoring teams, code reviews, risk management, and timely delivery.
• Effective stakeholder and client management, guiding technical discussions and architecture decisions.
• Exposure to Banking/Financial Services domains, AML Transaction Monitoring, Regulatory Reporting, and modern tech like React.js, AWS/Azure, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

Your Profile

• Experienced Java Technology Leader with strong expertise in Core Java (Java 8/11/17), Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and enterprise application development.
• Proven ability to lead end-to-end design, architecture, and development of scalable, high-performance applications aligned with business objectives.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, data structures, code quality standards, and development best practices.
• Hands-on experience with database technologies such as Oracle and PostgreSQL, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Skilled in driving modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, DevOps, Agile methodologies, Git, Jenkins, and continuous delivery frameworks.
• Demonstrated leadership in mentoring development teams, conducting code reviews, managing technical risks, and ensuring timely project delivery.
• Effective stakeholder and client management skills with the ability to lead technical discussions, influence architectural decisions, and communicate with senior leadership.
• Exposure to Banking and Financial Services domains, including Financial Crime & Surveillance Operations (FCSO), AML Transaction Monitoring, Trade Surveillance, Regulatory Reporting, and modern technologies such as React.js, Azure/AWS, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.
