Job summary

fulcrumdigital seeks an experienced Senior QA Engineer to ensure the quality of Web and PWA-based insurance applications in the Property & Casualty domain. The role emphasizes testing execution, collaboration, and quality ownership within Agile/Scrum teams.

You will design and maintain test plans, cases, and data across functional, regression, integration, UI, and end-to-end tests, perform multi-browser/device testing, and support test automation efforts.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in Quality Assurance as an individual contributor.
• Strong experience testing Web and Progressive Web Applications (PWA).
• Good understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance processes, including policy lifecycle, claims, underwriting, and billing.

Responsibilities

• Execute and contribute to QA planning, testing, and delivery for web and PWA-based insurance applications.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and development teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Design, execute, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test data for functional, regression, integration, UI, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate P&C insurance workflows, including consumer warranty insurance, policy administration, underwriting, claims, billing, and customer portals.
• Perform cross-browser and multi-device testing.
• Execute test cycles, track defects, and ensure timely defect validation and closure.
• Perform root cause analysis and work closely with developers to resolve defects.
• Contribute to test automation efforts and support regression test execution.
• Ensure testing activities comply with regulatory, compliance, and data privacy requirements.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Provide test execution status, metrics, and quality insights to stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in functional, regression, and end-to-end testing, along with hands‑on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. This role focuses on execution, collaboration, and quality ownership without people‑management responsibilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in Quality Assurance as an individual contributor
• Strong experience testing Web and Progressive Web Applications (PWA)
• Good understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance processes, including policy lifecycle, claims, underwriting, and billing
• Experience in multi-browser and multi-device testing
• Proficiency in writing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business requirements
• Hands‑on experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, Xray, or Azure DevOps
• Strong experience in defect tracking, root cause analysis, and test closure reporting
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and DevOps practices
• Basic knowledge of front‑end technologies (HTML, CSS, browser developer tools)
• Exposure to test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar
• Exposure to AI‑powered QA tools (e.g., Testim, AccelQ, Tricentis Tosca with AI features) is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools
• Exposure to performance and security testing concepts and tools
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification
• Prior experience in the insurance or financial services domain
