Job summary

Schindler India is hiring a Sr. Project Engineer - New Installation to lead installation, testing and commissioning of elevators, escalators and moving walks.

You will coordinate with internal teams, contractors and clients to ensure adherence to project plans, timelines and safety standards. The role requires a degree/diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics or ITI and around 5 years of experience in the elevator or manufacturing sector.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics or ITI with relevant background.
• 5 years in the Elevator or manufacturing industry.
• Strong skills in maintenance, repair, project coordination and safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, testing and commissioning of elevators, escalators and moving walks to meet project specs and regulatory standards.
• Conduct technical assessments and troubleshoot during installation to maintain timelines and performance.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors and external partners to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion.
• Maintain detailed project documentation including technical reports, checklists and regulatory compliance records.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and site supervisors to implement installation plans efficiently.
• Engage with clients, contractors and regulators to ensure safety and project requirements are understood and met.

Your main responsibilities

Role & Responsibilities :

• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of elevators, escalators, and moving walks to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards, achieving quality and safety benchmarks.
• Conduct technical assessments and troubleshooting during the installation phase, identifying and resolving technical issues to maintain project timelines and operational effectiveness.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external partners to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of installation projects, adhering to strategic project plans and schedules.
• Maintain detailed documentation on project progress, including technical reports, checklists, and compliance records with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and site supervisors to communicate and implement installation plans efficiently and effectively, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Facilitate effective communication with clients and external partners to ensure project requirements and safety standards are clearly understood and met, addressing queries or concerns promptly.
• Engage with colleagues, contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to project plans and to address any safety or technical questions effectively.

What you bring

Qualification: Degree / Diploma Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronics) or ITI

Professional Experience : 5 years in the Elevator or manufacturing industry
