Job summary

Trantor Inc. is seeking a Sr. Professional Services Consultant to lead firewall migration engagements, focusing on Palo Alto Networks products.

The role requires hands-on deployment, configuration, and operation, collaborating with project managers and customer teams to drive secure adoption and adherence to best practices. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in enterprise security, PCNSE certification, and experience migrating other vendors to Palo Alto.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years’ experience with enterprise security products, solutions, and technologies.
• Extensive experience with Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortinet or Juniper Firewalls. Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls is mandatory. PCNSE Certification is required.
• Experience migrating other vendors to Palo Alto using Expedition or Automation is required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience managing security solutions in large environments.
• Strong knowledge of the enterprise security threat landscape.
• Strong understanding of Internet protocols and applications.
• Detailed technical experience in deployment, configuration, troubleshooting and operations of high-end firewall appliances, ideally Palo Alto Networks products.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.
• Aptitude to juggle and manage many tasks simultaneously.
• Relevant industry certifications such as PCNSE, CISSP, CCNA, CNSE, JNCIE-SEC
• BS in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent education/training/experience

Job Description:

As a Professional Services Consultant (PSC) you will provide deployment, configuration, and operational services for our customers relating to Palo Alto Networks products. You will function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) teaming with a Project Manager to interact directly with the customer's project team to facilitate the consumption and adoption of our products and capabilities. During the execution of each project you will also utilize soft skills to guide the customer to make decisions on how to use our products in a way consistent with our best practices and make them more secure. The PSC contributes to the internal Professional Services team in the development of new principles and concepts, works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious. This is a highly technical, hands-on role and you will be required to develop and maintain an expertise on the Palo Alto Network products and solutions commensurate with your skillset, goals and in collaboration with your manager.

Job Role & Responsibilities
