Job summary

Target India seeks a Sr Procurement Ops Professional to support the Strategic Sourcing team with execution of sourcing strategies and vendor management. You will drive RFX events, optimize spend, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver cost-efficient procurement solutions.

Strong stakeholder management, analytics, and system expertise (SAP Ariba, Coupa) are essential. This role emphasizes end-to-end process ownership and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years procurement experience with increasing responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Execute RFX events (RFI/RFP/RFQ) and auctions for projects within timelines.
• Plan and prioritize workload for timely, accurate delivery.
• Support vendors by resolving queries on event participation and troubleshoot issues.
• On-board new vendors and assist with system setups.
• Train Sourcing Leads on best practices and SOPs; ensure compliance.
• Train SSLs on Ariba and Coupa project management and sourcing optimization.
• Create and maintain training documents and SOPs for processes.
• Drive continuous process improvement to achieve operational excellence.
• Support reporting requirements for Strategic Sourcing as needed.
• Be the primary contact for partners and collaborate across teams to drive efficiency.

Primary Functions

As a Sr Procurement Ops Professional, you will be accountable to support the Strategic Sourcing team with execution of Sourcing strategy. You will also drive and contribute to key enterprise initiatives. Your responsibilities would include:

• Based on sourcing requirements for a project, execute RFX events (RFIs/RFPs/RFQs) and auctions within agreed timeline

• Effectively plan and prioritize workload for timely and accurate delivery

• Support vendors by resolving their queries on event participation and conduct troubleshooting of technical issues faced by vendors

• Conduct on-boarding sessions for new vendors and support with system setups

• As an SME in Sourcing Services, train and guide Sourcing Leads and ensure adherence to the best practices and Standard Operating procedures. Build awareness amongst SSLs on the criticality of following process to ensure compliance

• Train new SSLs on Ariba/Coupa project management and sourcing optimization processes

• Create and maintain training documents and SOPs for new and existing processes

• Strive for continuous process improvement to achieve operational excellence

• Support reporting requirements for Strategic Sourcing team whenever required

• Be the primary point of contact for partners and collaborate with teams across the organization for projects and process requirements; support cross-functional projects to achieve process simplification and drive efficiency

About You:

• 6 - 8 years procurement experience with record of increased responsibility and/or complexity

• Ability to think strategically with excellent quantitative skills

• Proficiency in creation of dashboards and reports (Greenfield, DOMO, Excel)

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Passion for owning processes end to end by actively communicating with US partners

• Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders in order to solve a problem

• Advanced systems knowledge of SAP - Ariba, Microsoft Office and other systems
