Job summary

Target is seeking a Lead Specialist in Bengaluru for indirect procurement who will manage operational deliverables and enterprise initiatives with US partners. You will lead category management for indirect spend, support bot-driven purchasing and drive process improvements across teams.

You must have 3–5 years of procurement experience, strong data and analytical skills, and excellent communication. Proficiency in SAP Ariba and MS Office is expected, with Jira/Confluence knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supporting store team members with queries related to Indirect procurement leveraging available resources like applications, knowledge documents and SOPs.
• Contributing to Purchasing Chat bot program – Partner with Capella and business teams to drive results, bot design and testing, and provide business context during development.
• Lead bot performance monitoring and reporting of metrics to leadership.
• Build partnership with Capella and Store Operations to resolve technical issues and increase bot adoption.
• Leading Indirect Category management across all Indirect categories and contribute to category management program.
• Analyze data related to indirect categories to identify business requirements or trends and resolve procurement issues in partnership with teams.
• Leverage category data to identify opportunities for Bot enhancements for improved store team experience.
• Monitor category performance and report to leadership and Planning team.
• Manage Purchase order creation and amendments for commodities and services.
• Maintaining knowledge articles and process documents for respective categories.

Primary Function

As a Lead Specialist, you will be managing operational deliverables as well as driving enterprise initiatives in partnership with teams across the organization. Your key responsibilities would include:

• Supporting store team members with queries related to Indirect procurement leveraging available resources like applications, knowledge documents and Standard operating procedures

• Contributing to Purchasing Chat bot program – You would need to partner with Capella and business teams to:

• Drive results through data analysis and identifying Chatbot enhancement opportunities, contribute to bot design and testing, share business context with the technical team during development stage

• Lead bot performance monitoring and reporting of metrics to leadership team

• Build partnership with Capella team and Store Operations team to resolve technical issues promptly and achieve increased bot adoption by stores

• Leading Indirect Category management – Demonstrate expertise across all Indirect categories and contribute to Category management program through:

• Analysis of data related to indirect categories and identifying business requirement or trends; take the lead in resolving procurement related issues by partnering with teams across the organization

• Leverage category data to identify opportunities for Chat bot enhancement for improved store team member experience

• Monitor key metrics and report category performance to leadership and Planning team

• Managing Purchase order creation and amendment process for commodities and services, ensuring accurate and timely delivery

• Supporting creation and maintenance of Knowledge Articles and process documents for respective categories

About You:

• 3 - 5 years procurement experience with record of increased responsibility and/or complexity

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Proficient in handling data, data cleaning and deriving insights from the same

• Basic project management skills apart from using productivity tools like Jira, Confluence etc.,

• Passion for owning processes end to end by actively communicating with US partners
