Job summary

PTC is seeking a Sr Principal – HR Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership for HR Operations, shaping how HR services are designed, delivered, and improved for employees and stakeholders across the United States.

You will lead cross-functional programs, drive process and technology transformation, and build the capability of the HR Operations team to ensure a high-quality lifecycle experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or MBA with HR focus and 5–8 years of related experience.
• Extensive experience in HR operations or shared services, leading programs or teams.
• Experience in matrix or multinational environments preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management with senior leadership.
• Hands-on experience with HR systems (Workday) and Microsoft tools.
• Ability to work the US shift (5:30 PM – 2:00 AM IST) serving US-based employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead the HR Operations strategy and roadmap across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, transitions).
• Drive large-scale HR operations and transformation programs improving experience and efficiency.
• Partner with HR leadership and stakeholders to shape service delivery models.
• Define and govern HR operations metrics, dashboards, and SLAs; present insights to senior leadership.
• Oversee evaluation, adoption, and optimization of HR technology (Workday, ServiceNow) with IT/vendors.
• Ensure compliance and risk management for HR processes; lead audit readiness.
• Establish escalation frameworks and service standards for timely HR support.
• Champion continuous improvement and scaling of solutions across regions.
• Coach Analysts and Specialists; support talent development and succession planning.
• Manage cross-functional projects, budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communications.

Role Overview

The Sr Principal – HR Operations will provide strategic and operational leadership for HR Operations, shaping how HR services are designed, delivered, and continuously improved for employees and stakeholders across the United States. This role will lead complex, cross-functional programs, drive process and technology transformation, advise senior HR and business leaders, and build the capability of the broader HR Operations team, ensuring consistent and high-quality employee lifecycle experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the HR Operations strategy and roadmap across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, and transitions), aligned with HR and business priorities.
• Drive large-scale HR Operations and transformation programs that improve employee experience and operational efficiency.
• Partner with HR leadership, HRBPs, COEs, and senior business stakeholders to shape service delivery models and influence decisions.
• Define and govern HR operations metrics, dashboards, and service SLAs; present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Lead the evaluation, adoption, and optimization of HR technology and automation platforms (Workday, ServiceNow), partnering with IT and vendors.
• Own compliance and risk management for HR processes, ensuring adherence to HR policies, US regulatory requirements, and internal guidelines; lead audit readiness.
• Establish escalation frameworks and service standards to ensure timely, high-quality support for employee queries and HR requests.
• Champion continuous improvement and best practices, benchmarking against industry standards and scaling solutions across regions.
• Coach and mentor Analysts and Specialists, build team capability, and contribute to talent development and succession planning.
• Manage cross-functional projects, budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communications for strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 5-8 years of related experience, OR an advanced degree (e.g., MBA with specialization in Human Resources) with a minimum of 5 years of related experience
• Extensive experience in HR operations, HR Operations, or shared services, including leading programs or teams
• Experience working in matrix or multinational environments preferred
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior leadership
• Hands-on experience with HR systems (e.g., Workday) and Microsoft tools
• Ability to work the US Shift (5:30 PM – 2:00 AM IST) and support employees and stakeholders across the United States
