Job summary

Institute Of Intellectual Property Research Deve Lopment in Greater Noida seeks a highly skilled Patent Prosecution professional with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in prosecuting patent specifications across core software, electronics and mechanical domains.

The candidate will work closely with the Patent docketing/paralegal team to QC client communications and ensure alignment with established practices.

Qualifications

Job description

• 1. Extremely Strong and Competent Patent Prosecution Professional with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in prosecuting Patent Specifications in Core Software/Electronics/Mechanical Domains along with undertaking hearings at the Indian Patent Office. The Candidate should be extremely sharp on understanding of the Patent Act, and would be required to work closely with the Patent Docketing/Paralegal Team to QC all communications/correspondences with clients/foreign associates. This aspect would be a core part of the present role and therefore the Candidate should be very comfortable in working with the support team to ensure that all the communications are perfect and fully aligned with the outlined practices.
• 2. Technical understanding of subject matter and depth to which the candidate goes for elaborating the invention in the specification is the key evaluation parameter. The Candidate should be from a premium technical Institute with extremely strong academic background.
• 3. The role is specific to the Gr. Noida office of the firm, and therefore only those candidates that are comfortable with the Gr. Noida office should apply.
• 4. Candidate should have a strong understanding of Patent Act, and should be technically very sound with intent of going into complete detail of the invention. Registered Patent Agents/Attorneys would be preferred.
• 5. Should have clarity in verbal communications so as to efficiently discuss with clients, and manage client projects, mandates, business development mandates, and client relationships.
• 6. Should be a strong team player as well as a positive individual contributor.
• 7. Should be willing to take additional responsibilities pertaining to trainings, speaking opportunities, client communications, overseeing the docketing team to ensure smooth client intimations, among others.
