Job summary

Buxton Consulting is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA with 8+ years of expertise to administer and support Oracle Core DBA, RAC, Data Guard, and EBS R12.2.x environments in a high-availability setup. The role requires OCI proficiency across Compute, Storage, Networking, and database services, plus strong SQL Server DBA capabilities.

Excellent communication and proactive attitude are essential for success. The candidate will participate in backups, migrations, cloning, and performance tuning,

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Oracle Core DBA Administration, including Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Performance Tuning, RMAN, and Upgrades/Migrations/Cloning.
• Solid experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.2.x administration and support.
• OCI experience is mandatory, including Compute, Storage, Networking, Database services, Backup/Disaster Recovery, and Cloud migrations/administration.
• Strong Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience, including administration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills; proactive attitude.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Oracle Exadata administration and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of automation and scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible, etc.).
• Exposure to high-availability and disaster recovery architectures.
• Knowledge or hands-on experience with AI-driven database administration, database automation, AI-assisted monitoring, performance optimization, or implementation of AI solutions within database environments is highly desirable.
