Job summary

Buxton Consulting is seeking a Sr. Oracle Applications DBA for a remote/hybrid role in India. The position requires 8+ years of hands-on Oracle Core DBA administration, EBS R12.2, and OCI expertise, with a focus on RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, and performance tuning.

You will handle upgrades, migrations, cloning, and SQL Server DBA tasks, and must communicate clearly with stakeholders while maintaining proactive, customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Oracle Core DBA Administration, including: RAC, Data Guard, Performance Tuning, RMAN.
• Solid experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.2.x administration and support.
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience is mandatory, incl. Compute, Storage, Networking, and DR.
• Strong Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience, incl. administration, performance tuning, backup/recovery.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; proactive attitude.

• Knowledge or hands-on experience with AI-driven database administration, database automation, AI-assisted monitoring, performance optimization, or implementation of AI solutions within database environments is highly desirable.
