Job summary

Providence India, a center within Providence Global Center, seeks a network engineer to design, operate and optimize enterprise networks across routing, switching, firewalls and SD-WAN. You will monitor performance, manage incidents within SLA, document configurations, and support WAN, VPNs and wireless infrastructure.

This role requires 3–6 years of hands-on experience, CCNA or higher, and strong communication skills. Exposure to SolarWinds or Datadog is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–6 years of hands-on experience in network routing and switching, SD-WAN infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and security fundamentals.
• Experience with Firewalls, Wireless and SD-WAN platforms, WAN technologies, and VPNs.

Responsibilities

• Manage/operate enterprise level network solutions including routing and switching, Firewalls, SDWAN and Wireless infrastructure.
• Secure, monitor, operate and troubleshoot enterprise networks.
• Troubleshoot network issues and ensure quick resolution of outages and performance degradations.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with security protocols and standards.
• Monitor network performance and identify areas for improvement, ensuring network uptime and reliability.
• Document network configurations, diagrams, processes and troubleshooting procedures.
• Work on incidents and provide timely resolution within SLA.
• Perform network OS upgrades, patching and performance tuning.

What will you be responsible for?

Manage/operate enterprise level network solutions including routing and switching, Firewalls, SDWAN and Wireless infrastructure.

How would your day look like?

Troubleshoot network issues reported through service management tools.

Work on Service Requests/Change Requests and co-ordinate with end users for validation and testing.

Participate in ITIL-based incident and change management process.

Document SOP's for day to day operations.

Monitor network performance and provide recommendations for improvement.

Coordinate with ISP's and vendors for service delivery and support

Monitor and analyze network performance using Cisco Prime/DNAC/Datadog

Certifications

CCNA (Routing and switching)

AASP-Aruba Accredited SD-WAN Professional/ Cisco ENSDWI

PCNSA/PCNSE or Equivalent

Who are we looking for?

Bachelors degree in computer science /IT or related field with 3-6 years of hands‑on experience in Network Routing and Switching, SD-WAN infrastructure.

Manage and operate enterprise networks.

Strong knowledge of routing protocols(BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)

Experience with VLAN's STP, Etherchannel, ACL's, NAT

Hands‑on experience with Firewalls(paloalto preferred), Wireless(Cisco capwap, meraki, Juniper mist) and SD-WAN platforms( any of cisco Viptela, Aruba Silverpeaks)

Experience with WAN Technologies, VPN's.

Understanding of network security fundamentals and segmentation.

Experience with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds/Datadog.

Familiarity with basic scripting or automation is a plus.

Good communication and documentation skills.
