Job Summary

This role is a key part of an established global design team for the SMB Ads Marketing Team with this long-time client - a global leader in the Tech industry.

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Motion Designer to create high-quality motion design content across digital campaigns, social platforms and video formats.

In this role you can spend time on site at the client office if applicable, and be supported by our appointed Design Lead for this business area.

You will have a broad range of motion design skills, and strong digital design skills would be beneficial.

You will be responsible for taking briefed creative concepts, static designs and storyboards into motion, developing animations, editing video content, and building scalable After Effects systems that can be efficiently adapted across multiple markets, languages, formats and platforms.

The ideal candidate combines strong motion craft with solid design fundamentals and technical expertise in Adobe After Effects.

You should have a strong understanding of animation principles, typography, composition, pacing and storytelling, as well as the ability to deliver consistently high-quality, scaled work within fast-paced production environments.

Initially you will work closely with the Design Lead and client to fully understand and adopt the brand, design guidelines and processes.

You will be creating After Effects specific toolkits, then execute Motion Design output for multiple campaigns, across various platforms including Social Ads, Video Content (including editing work where needed), animated UI Elements etc with After Effects.

You will ensure that designs adhere to brand guidelines and respond promptly to client feedback and amends.

Where needed and if possible, you may be requested to provide additional support on more traditional design outputs, primarily using Figma and other similar Adobe design tools.

Building strong client relationships is a vital aspect of this role so you should have confidence in your design skills, in working directly with the client, and be able to present your work as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow traffic management processes to ensure best in class results are achieved.
• Design and development of Adobe After Effects specific toolkits and design systems in motion.
• Execution of Video/Motion outputs at scale across multiple languages, platforms and specifications for digital campaigns, social content, video assets, product communications and other digital touchpoints.
• Animate typography, graphic elements, illustrations, photography, product imagery and UI components with strong attention to timing, pacing and visual storytelling.
• Translate static creative concepts and storyboards into polished motion executions while maintaining the original creative idea against brand identity and seeking ways to elevate both from concept to execution.
• Develop and maintain scalable Adobe After Effects templates and motion toolkits designed for localization across multiple markets, languages, aspect ratios and specifications.
• Edit and assemble video content where required, including footage selection, sequencing, transitions, basic sound editing and final delivery.
• Collaborate with the client, designers, art directors, copywriters, producers and other motion designers to develop creative solutions to meet the client's needs, in line with their overall marketing strategy from concept to delivery.
• Prepare, render and export assets according to platform-specific technical requirements, including resolution, frame rate, codecs, file size and safe areas.
• Conduct thorough QA/QC across animation, typography, localization, audio, timing, brand consistency and technical specifications before delivery.
• Deliver localized motion assets across multiple languages, ensuring layouts and animation remain appropriate when copy length, typography or reading direction changes.
• Explore and apply AI-assisted creative tools where they can meaningfully improve ideation, production, versioning or workflow efficiency.
• Present your work to the client, internal stakeholders, PMMs or colleagues and respond to feedback constructively and appropriately, whilst clearly communicating creative or technical decisions
• Support static design requirements if necessary using Figma, Photoshop or Illustrator, while maintaining Motion Design as the primary focus of the role.
• Be aware of on-going basis of Motion Design and marketing trends, undertaking appropriate research when required, thus ensuring HH client s creative is innovative and appropriate for their regional audience.
• Lead by example and share your knowledge, workflows and best practice experience with the wider design team.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Fluent in English
• At least 8+ years of experience working in Agency environments or as part of agency teams
• Leadership level roles at previous roles
• Excellent working knowledge, both technical and creative, of Video Production and Motion Design software; After Effects, Premiere Pro, Media Encoder wider Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition preferable).
• Proven track record building toolkits in Adobe After Effects designed for global localization and scale and demonstrable knowledge of automation within workflows
• Well versed in expressions, scripting and high level user of Adobe After Effects
• Strong foundational design knowledge, with experience using Figma highly desirable
• Detail orientated and able to conduct thorough QA/QC on work
• Working knowledge of Google Workspace app alongside platform specific best practices
• Skilled with concepting, typography, composition including wireframing and storytelling
• Exhibitable track record of additional creative design work
• Excellent creative and technical skills in Motion Design and strong attention to detail essential.
• Experienced in proofing text and can go beyond spell-check
• 3+ years experience with AI and how this can benefit the creative process
• Easy-going, able to multitask, deal with multiple rounds of: edits, amends, scrapping things and starting over.
• Flexible and can adapt to quickly changing priorities and tasks
• Open to constructive criticism and can maintain a great attitude under pressure
• Able to quickly pick-up a client s brand guidelines and maintain brand consistency while creating innovative and strategic designs
• Highly organised with an internal drive to continuously improve and learn new skills
• Ability to excel within fast paced, high energy environments delivering high volumes of work
