• Thorough knowledge of AMA style; experience with medical/regulatory/legal reviews and familiarity with FDA requirements for drug promotion.
• Demonstrated comfort with medical/pharma terminology and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage shifting priorities and deadlines independently, with strong digital skills.

Responsibilities

• Edit for language clarity, brand accuracy, tone, flow and formatting; support reviews with AI tools.
• Participate in the content review process, including factual checks with accurate referencing.
• Collaborate with Editorial, Creative and Project Management to prioritise and complete projects on time.

Job description

The Senior Medical Editor is responsible for a range of Editorial services, including medical editing, copyediting, proofreading and fact checking of digital and print pharmaceutical advertising materials, internal and external presentations and corporate communications. The Senior Medical Editor supports the outlook, needs and requirements of the Editorial competency to maintain quality, and is accountable for assigned projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Edit for language clarity and consistency, brand and messaging accuracy, appropriate tone, overall cohesiveness, flow, organization, client and AMA style, grammar, spelling, typographical errors and formatting; support reviews with AI tools
• Participate in the content review process throughout all stages of a project, including fact checking with accurate referencing
• Collaborate with other teammates including Editorial, Creative, and Project Management to assist in project prioritization and increase ease of project completion while maintaining quality
