Job summary

EVERSANA is seeking a Senior Medical Editor to deliver medical editing, copyediting, proofreading and fact checking across pharmaceutical advertising materials and internal communications.

The role requires 5+ years editing in healthcare, AMA style knowledge, FDA awareness, and strong attention to detail; a Bachelor’s degree is required, with proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Word and PowerPoint. Position based in Pune region, India.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education plus professional experience required.
• 5+ years of editing experience within a healthcare or pharmaceutical advertising agency environment.
• Thorough knowledge of current AMA style; experience with medical/regulatory/legal reviews and familiarity with FDA requirements for drug promotion.
• Demonstrated comfort and confidence with medical/pharma terminology.
• Extremely detail oriented, thorough and accurate.
• Proven experience in managing rapidly shifting priorities and deadlines in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to be accountable and work independently.
• Digitally savvy with excellent verbal, written, organizational, time-management and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Edit for language clarity, brand accuracy, tone, flow, organization, client and AMA style; support reviews with AI tools.
• Perform fact checking with accurate referencing throughout all stages of a project.
• Collaborate with Editorial, Creative, and Project Management to assist in prioritization and ensure timely completion.

Job Description

The Senior Medical Editor is responsible for a range of Editorial services, including medical editing, copyediting, proofreading and fact checking of digital and print pharmaceutical advertising materials, internal and external presentations and corporate communications. The Senior Medical Editor supports the outlook, needs and requirements of the Editorial competency to maintain quality, and is accountable for assigned projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Edit for language clarity and consistency, brand and messaging accuracy, appropriate tone, overall cohesiveness, flow, organization, client and AMA style, grammar, spelling, typographical errors and formatting; support reviews with AI tools
• Participate in the content review process throughout all stages of a project, including fact checking with accurate referencing
• Collaborate with other teammates including Editorial, Creative, and Project Management to assist in project prioritization and increase ease of project completion while maintaining quality
• Support coverage of agency team and launch tasks

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
