Job summary

Symphoni Hr is seeking a maintenance engineer in Dahej, Gujarat (India) to perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of production machines and utilities. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical failures to minimize downtime and ensuring safe, efficient operation of pumps, compressors, conveyors, and other systems.

Responsibilities include installation, alignment, commissioning, dismantling, lubrication, PM scheduling, and maintaining logs and spare parts records.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of production machines and utility equipment.
• Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical failures to minimize downtime.
• Maintain pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Repair and replace bearings, seals, couplings, belts, chains and other mechanical components.
• Execute machine installation, alignment, commissioning, dismantling and shifting activities.
• Maintain lubrication schedules and machine health monitoring.
• Coordinate with Production during planned shutdowns and emergency breakdowns.
• Maintain PM schedules, maintenance logs and spare parts records.
• Ensure availability of critical spare parts.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
• Support equipment improvement, energy saving, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors during maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, 5S and maintenance SOPs.
• SAP and MS Office exposure preferred.
