Qualifications

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Senior Manager Reporting to the Associate Director, this full-time and permanent position is based in Mumbai, India and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Global Service Centre and its’ growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end UK statutory reporting process for multiple UK entities, including preparation, review, and timely filing of statutory financial statements with Companies House and other regulatory bodies in accordance with UK GAAP, FRS 101/102, Companies Act requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Manage audits, coordinate audit planning and deliverables, resolving audit queries, improving audit efficiency, and serve as the primary escalation point for audit.
  • Review and approve statutory financial statements, disclosures, supporting schedules, and technical accounting papers, while providing technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and reporting matters.
  • Monitor and assess changes in UK accounting standards, statutory regulations, and reporting requirements, ensuring timely implementation and compliance across all reporting activities.
  • Establish and maintain a robust control environment, including governance frameworks, process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), risk management practices, and compliance with financial reporting requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of finance professionals by setting clear objectives, managing performance, allocating resources effectively, establishing development plans, and ensuring delivery of statutory reporting deadlines.
  • Collaborate closely with Tax, Management Accounting, Legal, UK onshore teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure accurate, complete, and compliant statutory reporting outcomes.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and provide regular reporting through trackers, dashboards, presentations, MIS reports, and governance forums to ensure transparency, effective monitoring, and timely resolution of issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement, standardization, automation, and process optimization across statutory reporting and audit processes to enhance efficiency, controls, and reporting quality.
  • Support finance transformation initiatives, process transitions, and migrations into the Global Delivery Hub (GDH), including knowledge transfer, process stabilization, documentation, and implementation of best practices.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate statutory reporting and compliance risks, escalating significant issues to senior leadership as appropriate and ensuring effective remediation plans are implemented.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for statutory reporting, audit, and compliance matters, providing guidance, driving resolution, and engaging senior stakeholders as required.
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization across the statutory reporting process, including automation, process controls, and reporting efficiencies.
