Job summary

Licious, Bengaluru-based meat and seafood company, seeks a Senior Manager – Sourcing Design to bring structure and repeatability to our protein-category sourcing. This builder’s role focuses on diagnosing current operations, identifying leakage, and designing scalable processes to enable sourcing at scale.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience in supply chain operations, consulting, process excellence, or operational design roles.
• Proven experience in designing, standardising, or improving operational processes and workflows.
• Strong SOP, documentation, and process governance mindset with the ability to create scalable frameworks.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous, 0-to-1 environments with a hands-on problem-solving approach.
• Strong structured thinking and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex operational challenges.
• Exposure to food/agri supply chains, cold chain, or perishable categories will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with process mapping and supply chain analytics tools such as Lucidchart, Miro, or Visio is preferred.
• Consulting or strategy experience with strong execution and implementation orientation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Map and evaluate existing sourcing processes across protein categories to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Design and implement scalable SOPs for supplier onboarding, price discovery, quality benchmarking, and order fulfilment.
• Build category-specific sourcing playbooks and frameworks for seamless execution by sourcing teams.
• Standardise sourcing workflows through templates, decision trees, stage-gates, and other repeatable mechanisms.
• Partner with tech and product teams to identify opportunities for digitisation and workflow automation.
• Develop dashboards and metrics to track sourcing efficiency, supplier performance, and cost trends.
• Drive cross-category process improvements by identifying best practices and institutionalising learnings across sourcing functions.
• Collaborate with category heads to solve sourcing challenges and design targeted operational interventions.
• Engage with sourcing, supplier, and operations teams to gather on-ground insights and improve process effectiveness.
• Present process improvement recommendations and impact-driven solutions to senior leadership.

Role Overview:

As Senior Manager – Sourcing Design, you will be responsible for bringing structure, repeatability, and design thinking to sourcing across our protein categories, including chicken, red meat, freshwater fish, seawater fish, eggs, and more.

This is not a day-to-day sourcing execution role. It is a builder’s role — focused on diagnosing how sourcing operates today, identifying areas of inconsistency, leakage, or inefficiency, and designing scalable processes, playbooks, and systems that enable sourcing to function more effectively at scale.
