Job summary

Ranext Technologies seeks an experienced GIS and Network Planning professional to lead short- and long-term network expansion efforts. You will assess performance, conduct feasibility studies, and prepare investment plans to enable growth and modernization across telecom or utilities domains.

The role requires strong GIS, database, and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate with ISPs, operations teams, and leadership to drive optimized, reliable network outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with GIS/CS/EC or telecom focus.
• Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
• Experience in network planning, GIS, infrastructure planning or utilities is expected.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Develop short-term and long-term network expansion plans aligned with organizational growth objectives.
• Assess current network performance, capacity utilization, and future demand requirements.
• Conduct feasibility studies for network augmentation, expansion, and modernization projects.
• Prepare capital investment plans and business cases for new network infrastructure.
• Identify opportunities for network optimization to improve reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead the GIS Processes (Tag Allocation, Inventory Preparation, ABDs etc.)
• Ensure accuracy and availability of GIS data across the functions.
• Innovate new GIS standards, frameworks for reduced TAT and improve accuracy
• Oversee integration of GIS with ERP/CRM
• Generate dashboards, reports, and maps to support strategic decision-making.
• Analyze customer demand patterns, network utilization, and growth opportunities.
• Ensure timely availability of GIS information and performance reports.
• Collaborate with internal departments for infrastructure planning and operational support.
• Engage with ISPs, Operation Team and service partners.
• Present network plans, project updates, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelors degree in engineering - GIS, Computer Science, Electronics. Telecommunications, or related discipline.
• Master's Degree/MBA preferred.

Experience

• 810+ years of experience in Network Planning, GIS, Infrastructure Planning, Telecom, Utilities, Transportation, or similar industries.
• Minimum 3-4 years in a managerial role (prefered)

Technical Skills

• GIS Platforms: ArcGIS, QGIS, MapInfo.
• Network Planning & Optimization Tools.
• Database Management (SQL Server, PostGIS etc.).
• AutoCAD and Infrastructure Mapping Tools.
• Project Management methodologies and tools.
