Job Summary
At Micron, we offer an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Manager, Strategic Program Management to join our dynamic team and lead our ambitious initiatives. This role is pivotal in driving strategic programs and projects that develop the future of our organization. Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Business Prioritization
- Lead business priority reviews, including quarterly strategy & roadmap reviews.
- Translate business priorities into actionable strategies and structured programs, ensuring alignment to enterprise goals.
- Identify and define strategic programs and transformation pillars, establishing clear charters, success metrics, and governance models.
- Work closely with long-range planning and execution frameworks to ensure alignment between strategy, capacity, and operational readiness.
- Program & Project Leadership
- Lead and manage internal business projects and strategic programs, including cross-functional teams of subject matter experts.
- Drive end-to-end execution—from concept through delivery—ensuring high-quality outcomes and on-time completion.
- Establish and manage program schedules, milestones, and budgets with rigorous tracking and accountability.
- Transition strategic initiatives into execution programs with defined tracking, governance, and reporting mechanisms.
- Execution Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Oversee delivery through the build lifecycle, ensuring disciplined execution and operational excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in partnership with Site Procurement and Operations team, to drive operational improvements
- Identify and implement cost optimization programs aligned with business and operational goals.
- Ensure adherence to Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) guidelines and compliance standards across programs.
- Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and misalignment early, and drive timely mitigation actions.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Partner with external vendors and service providers to ensure alignment with organizational standards and delivery expectations.
- Build strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Plan and execute external and internal events where required by business.
- Team Leadership
- Allocate, guide, and supervise program resources, including project staff, Cost optimization owner as well as Strategic and Operational PMO.
- Select, mentor, and develop talent to build high-performing teams and ensure sustained operational efficiency.
- Strategic Advisory & Leadership Support
- Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to senior leadership.
- Facilitate leadership forums, drive decision-making processes, and advance key strategic initiatives.
- Serve as a central integrator, connecting insights across teams, functions, regions, and stakeholders.
- Act as a sounding board to leadership, proactively surfacing risks, misalignment, and opportunities.
- Operating Rhythm, Governance & Organizational Effectiveness
- Establish and drive operating frameworks, including governance models, business rhythms (MBRs/QBRs), and performance metrics.
- Identify organizational friction points and drive systemic improvements in ways of working.
- Ensure structured program governance, including review cadences, KPI tracking, and escalation frameworks.
- Communication & Culture
- Enable high-quality executive communications, including leadership updates, strategic narratives, and meeting preparation.
- Foster team engagement, collaboration, and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional programs and internal business initiatives in a dynamic environment.
- Strong expertise in business planning, capacity strategy, and program execution.
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into scalable programs and measurable outcomes.
- Experience leading operational efficiency initiatives.
- Familiarity with RBA guidelines / compliance frameworks preferred.
- Strong program management expertise, including scheduling, budgeting, and end-to-end delivery oversight.
- Experience working with and managing external vendors and partners.
- Strong leadership capability with experience managing and developing diverse teams.
- Recognized as a trusted advisor with the ability to influence senior leadership and drive strategic outcomes.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and collaboration skills across functions and geographies.
- Strong systems-thinking mindset with the ability to connect dots and drive alignment across complex environments.
- Proactive risk identification and mitigation mindset, with comfort in navigating ambiguity and challenging norms.
- Ability to design and implement operating models, governance structures, and performance frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with focus on eliminating inefficiencies and enabling scale.
