Job summary

Micron Technology invites a Software Engineer to configure, develop, maintain and support Micron and third‑party applications across the MFG Application Development Team. You will apply solid software engineering practices through the full software life cycle, from requirements to deployment, and contribute to quality improvements to minimize defects and downtime.

The role requires hands-on full-stack experience with C#, C++, .NET, RESTful services, databases, and DevOps.

Qualifications

• Experience in full-stack software development with strong fundamentals in core programming and OO design.
• Proficient in C#/C++, .NET, RESTful services and modern web technologies.
• Experience with databases such as MS SQL Server and MySQL; knowledge of performance tuning is a plus.
• Familiarity with DevOps, Agile/Scrum, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with microservices, containers and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

Responsibilities

• Configure, develop, maintain and support Micron and third-party applications across the MFG Application Development Team.
• Apply software engineering best practices across the full software life cycle: analysis, design, coding, testing and maintenance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, ensure quality, and continuously improve systems to minimize downtime and defects.

Required Skill:

• Hands‑on experience with full‑stack software development with strong fundamentals in Core Programming and Object‑Oriented Design.
• Experience with the following technologies: Programming languages / technologies: C#, C++, .NET, .NET Core, WPF, ADO.NET, WebAPI, RESTful services Scripting languages: Perl, Python, PowerShell Database environments: MS SQL Server, MySQL (experience with performance tuning and query optimization preferred) Others: Design Patterns, DevOps, Agile/Scrum Prior architecture and technical ownership experience is a plus
• Cloud technologies: AWS, Azure DevOps: CI/CD pipelines (build, release, and deployment automation) Source Control: GIT, TFS Windows' environment – Windows Desktop, Windows Server, IIS Unix environment – Linux (RHEL), Apache Web Server Familiarity with technologies - Microservices, Containers, OpenShift etc. Familiarity with modern web UI development frameworks and responsive design principles
• Good to have: Hands‑on experience using Generative AI tools and Agentic AIs to support software development, debugging, testing, or productivity (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code)
