Charles Schwab India is seeking an experienced Manager (PL) for Active Directory & Entra Engineering to lead a team of engineers responsible for design, implementation, security, and operations of AD and Entra ID. The role focuses on identity modernization, security posture, and scalable authentication services.

Ideal candidates will have 10+ years in AD/Entra ID, 3+ years of leadership, and strong collaboration with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and business teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience administering and engineering Active Directory environments.
• 5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and hybrid identity architectures.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Strong expertise in: Active Directory Domain Services, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AD Connect / Entra Connect, Group Policy, DNS and Authentication Services, Kerberos and NTLM, Federation Services, Identity Governance and Administration, Privileged Access Management.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale identity modernization initiatives.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and identity security controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of identity and directory service engineers.
• Drive identity and access management initiatives including IGA, PAM, MFA, SSO, Conditional Access, RBAC.
• Collaborate with IAM teams to implement governance and access controls.
• Establish SLAs, metrics, and engineering standards; lead incident response and RCA.
• Advise on automation using PowerShell, Graph API, and Infrastructure as Code.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Manager (PL) for Active Directory & Entra Engineering to lead a team of engineers responsible for the design, implementation, security, and operational excellence of Active Directory and Microsoft Azure Entra ID. The ideal candidate brings approximately 10+ years of hands-on experience in Active Directory, Entra ID, and identity technologies, combined with strong leadership capabilities to build high-performing teams, develop talent, and deliver strategic identity initiatives. This leader will partner with cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, application, and business stakeholders to advance the firm’s identity modernization strategy, improve security posture, and enable scalable, resilient authentication and authorization services.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a team of identity and directory service engineers. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Conduct performance management, career development planning, and succession planning activities. Drive employee engagement and create an inclusive, high-performing team environment. Manage staffing, hiring, onboarding, and professional development initiatives. Set clear objectives, priorities, and expectations aligned with organizational goals. Serve as an escalation point for complex identity-related issues and operational incidents.
• Identity & Access Management

Partner With IAM Teams To Implement

• Identity Governance and Administration (IGA)
• Privileged Access Management (PAM)
• Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
• Single Sign-On (SSO)
• Conditional Access
• Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

• Lifecycle Management Support enterprise adoption of modern authentication and Zero Trust principles. Collaborate with application teams on identity integrations and access management solutions.
• Operational Excellence Establish service-level objectives, operational metrics, and engineering standards. Lead incident response and root cause analysis efforts. Develop automation strategies leveraging PowerShell, Graph API, and Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies. Manage vendor relationships and support strategic technology evaluations.
