Job summary

Execo is building the next generation of AI-powered contract review and negotiation tools. As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will act as the strategic bridge between client legal teams and our engineers, ensuring compliance and practical applicability of AI-driven workflows.

You will lead workshops, shape negotiation instructions, and validate outputs to meet complex commercial requirements while working across multiple time zones and with US-based counterparties.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with PQE in complex commercial contracting.
• Experience drafting and reviewing international contracts (US-based counterparties preferred).
• Ability to translate legal requirements for technical teams and product teams.
• Fluent English communication with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead consultative workshops with US-based legal teams, documenting contract playbooks, redlines, and risk tolerances.
• Provide legal domain authority in client engagements guiding GCs and Legal Ops.
• Translate nuanced legal requirements into actionable logic for AI models and prompts.
• Perform expert-level QA to ensure AI-generated redlines align with commercial standards.
• Support UAT and implementation, gathering feedback to improve tool readiness.

As Senior Legal Counsel, you sit at the high-stakes intersection of elite legal practice and cutting-edge GenAI. You are the strategic bridge between sophisticated client legal teams and our internal engineers, ensuring that AI-powered contract review and negotiation tools are architected to meet complex, real-world legal requirements.

Your Impact & What You'll Do

• Lead Consultative Workshops: Act as the primary advisor to US-based legal teams, deeply documenting their contract negotiation playbooks, redlining positions, and specific risk tolerances.
• Legal Domain Authority: Serve as the subject matter expert in client-facing engagements, guiding General Counsel and Legal Ops leaders through the definition of AI-driven negotiation instructions.
• Technical Translation: Convert nuanced legal requirements into structured, actionable logic for technical teams to build precise AI models and prompts.
• High-Level Quality Assurance: Perform expert-level validation of platform outputs to ensure AI-generated redlines align perfectly with client commercial standards.
• UAT & Implementation Support: Support clients through the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase, gathering feedback to refine tool performance and ensure technical "readiness."
