Job summary

Aristocrat is seeking a Senior Lead Technical Artist to drive high-fidelity art implementation in Unity across multiple game projects. You will shape pipelines, mentor artists, and collaborate with engineers to balance visuals with performance on mobile, casual, and slot games.

The role emphasizes tool development, automation, and maintaining technical standards, with a focus on scalable solutions and robust debugging across platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in game development or a related field.
• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop.
• Strong working knowledge of Unity, including asset integration, animation workflows, particle systems, prefabs, debugging, and optimization techniques.
• Experience implementing and troubleshooting complex visual features within Unity.
• Strong understanding of game content pipelines, asset optimization, and implementation workflows.
• Experience developing tools, scripts, or automation solutions using C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with shaders, materials, rendering pipelines, and real-time performance optimization.
• Experience with version control systems such as Perforce or GitHub and project management tools such as JIRA.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex production issues.
• Ability to mentor team members and provide technical guidance across projects.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in slot, casual, or mobile game development is preferred.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex visual and technical issues throughout development and testing.
• Partner with multiple game teams to promote best practices and consistent implementation standards.
• Mentor Technical Artists and Lead Technical Artists through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Contribute to documentation and continuous improvement of technical art processes.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Lead Technical Artist to join our technical art team. This role is ideal for a technical expert who thrives at the intersection of art and technology and is passionate about delivering visually compelling and technically robust game experiences.
