Job summary

Birlasoft is actively seeking an Informatica IDMC Lead to lead IDMC development and integration initiatives across multiple locations in India. The role focuses on building scalable data integration solutions, ensuring data quality, and supporting migration and modernization efforts.

The candidate will collaborate with architects, analysts, and QA teams to deliver reliable data pipelines and provide technical runbooks and deployment checklists. Strong expertise in CDI, CDQ, and IDMC is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with mappings, taskflows, parameter files, scheduling, monitoring, error handling, and Secure Agents.
• Good understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and integration design patterns.
• Experience with REST APIs, SOAP, JSON, XML, CSV, and secure file-transfer mechanisms. Exposure to Kafka or event streaming is a plus.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with at least two platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Exposure to one or more cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform.

Informatica IDMC Lead

Experience: 8-10 years

Key Responsibilities

IDMC Development and Integration

• Develop, configure, and maintain data integration mappings, mapping tasks, taskflows, and schedules using Informatica Cloud Data Integration (CDI).
• Build ETL and ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data across cloud and on-premises sources and targets.
• Configure and support Secure Agents, runtime environments, connections, parameterization, and deployment activities under architectural guidance.
• Develop reusable objects, templates, error-handling routines, logging, and restart mechanisms to improve solution maintainability.
• Create and consume REST and SOAP APIs, and support file-based, database, application, and event-driven integration patterns.

Data Quality and MDM Support

• Develop data quality rules, profiles, scorecards, standardization, cleansing, and validation logic using Cloud Data Quality (CDQ).
• Implement data matching, duplicate identification, reference data checks, and exception-handling workflows.
• Support MDM SaaS implementations such as Customer 360, Supplier 360, or Product 360 by configuring data loads, business rules, and integrations.

Migration and Modernization

• Assist in assessing and migrating Informatica PowerCenter or IICS assets to IDMC.
• Rebuild or refactor mappings, workflows, data quality assets, and interfaces based on approved migration designs.

Testing, Support, and Delivery

• Prepare unit test cases and test evidence; support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, and performance testing.
• Troubleshoot mapping failures, connectivity issues, data quality defects, and performance bottlenecks.

Collaboration and Documentation

• Work with solution architects, business analysts, source-system teams, database administrators, and QA teams to translate requirements into technical deliverables.
• Create and maintain technical design documents, mapping specifications, runbooks, deployment checklists, and support documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and recommend practical improvements to performance, reliability, and maintainability.
