Job summary

Concentrix is seeking a Sr Java Developer - Tech Lead to lead backend design and delivery for Payments Platform in our Bangalore office. You will drive architecture, ensure scalable solutions, and mentor a team of engineers.

The role requires 10–14 years of hands-on Java/J2EE experience, strong Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and cloud familiarity. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact financial services software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10–14 years of hands‑on experience in Java/J2EE application development, with at least 3+ years in a Technical Lead role.
• Strong expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST APIs, Microservices, and SQL.
• Experience in designing and developing enterprise‑scale applications and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, architecture principles, and secure coding practices.
• Experience with Oracle/PostgreSQL database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Exposure to CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms is an advantage.
• Experience in Digital Payments, Mobile Wallets, FinTech, Banking, or Telecom Financial Services is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and drive delivery in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with business teams, architects, QA, DevOps, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, payment service integrations, and enterprise applications supporting Money platforms.
• Drive technical design discussions, code reviews, coding standards, and development best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Mentor and guide developers, providing technical leadership and support throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Analyze and resolve complex production issues, performance bottlenecks, and system stability challenges.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability for high-volume transaction processing systems.
• Ensure adherence to secure coding standards, API security practices, and compliance requirements.
• Work closely with QA and operations teams to support testing, deployments, and production releases.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, technology roadmaps, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Lead - Java/J2EE, Payments Platform
