Job summary

GlobalLogic in Chennai is seeking an experienced Java backend developer to design and build scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and modern enterprise frameworks. You will contribute to secure, high‑performance systems and mentor junior engineers.

You will work with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), Docker, Kubernetes, and both SQL and NoSQL databases, implementing CI/CD, IaC, and automated testing as part of a cross‑functional team.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, and multithreading.
• Familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP – Azure preferred.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, secure backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design microservices architectures and deploy with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Work with cloud platforms and databases (SQL/NoSQL).

• Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD, automated testing, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills.

• Healthcare or patient safety domain experience is an added advantage.
