Lumen Technologies in Bengaluru is seeking a Security Automation Engineer to build and enhance automation across our SOC environment, focusing on SOAR/SIEM engineering, security workflow automation, API integrations, incident response automation, and platform integration.

You will develop playbooks, implement Python scripting, and work with Microsoft Sentinel, Cortex XSIAM/XSOAR, and Logic Apps, while integrating tools via REST APIs, ServiceNow, and ITSM platforms.

Qualifications

• 7–14 years of IT experience with Security Operations or Security Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in Security Automation and SOAR development.
• Proficient in Python scripting.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Cortex XSIAM/XSOAR.
• API and integration development experience.
• ServiceNow integration and workflow automation.
• Incident Response and SOC operations knowledge.
• Security platform integrations (CrowdStrike, Defender XDR, etc.).

The Role

We're looking for a Security Automation Engineer to build and enhance automation solutions across our SOC environment. The role focuses on SOAR/SIEM engineering, security workflow automation, API integrations, incident response automation, and security platform integration to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.

The Main Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain security playbooks, runbooks, and automated workflows.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Must Have:

• 7-14 years of IT experience with Security Operations or Security Engineering.
• Strong experience in Security Automation and SOAR development.
• Hands‑on expertise in Python scripting.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Cortex XSIAM/XSOAR.
• API and integration development experience.
• ServiceNow integration and workflow automation.
• Incident Response and SOC operations knowledge.
• Security platform integrations (CrowdStrike, Defender XDR, etc.).

Preferred:

• Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps.
• Detection Engineering and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Microsoft Security Copilot and AI‑driven SOC Automation.

Preferred Certifications

• SC-200 Security Operations Analyst
• Cortex XSIAM/XSOAR Certification
