Job summary

Blackbuck Insights, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Finance to lead and oversee finance operations for the US and India entities. The role covers accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, treasury, compliance, audit coordination, and process improvement.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in US GAAP and Indian accounting standards, hands-on experience across all core finance functions, and a proven ability to collaborate with leadership and external advisors while driving

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting.
  • Experience managing finance operations across US and India.
  • Hands-on experience in accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, treasury, compliance, and audit.
  • Experience working with US GAAP and Indian accounting standards.
  • Prior experience in a multinational or globally distributed organisation is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting, FP&A, cash management, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day finance and accounting activities for the US and India entities.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Oversee AR/AP activities, including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and expense management.
  • Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations between US and India entities.
  • Coordinate payroll accounting and ensure accurate recording of payroll-related transactions.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under US GAAP and Indian standards.
  • Analyse financial performance, budget vs. actuals, variances, and key financial trends.
  • Develop and monitor financial KPIs and reporting dashboards.
  • Own the budgeting and forecasting process for US and India operations.
  • Prepare financial forecasts, scenario analysis, and long-range financial plans.
  • Monitor revenue, operating expenses, margins, cash flow, and other key metrics.
  • Identify financial risks, trends, and opportunities and present recommendations to Leadership.
  • Manage cash flow and working capital requirements across US and India operations.
  • Monitor daily cash positions and payment requirements.
  • Coordinate tax, statutory & regulatory compliance activities across entities.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain financial controls.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement within finance operations.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior Manager – Finance to manage and oversee financial operations across the United States and India. This is an individual contributor role with ownership of accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, treasury, compliance, audit coordination, and finance process improvement.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing finance operations across US and India entities, a sound understanding of US GAAP and Indian accounting standards, and the ability to independently manage financial activities while working closely with the Leadership team and external advisors.

Key Responsibilities
Finance Operations & Accounting
  • Own day-to-day finance and accounting activities for the US and India entities.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Oversee AR/AP activities, including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and expense management.
  • Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations between US and India entities.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers, depreciation schedules, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other accounting schedules.
  • Coordinate payroll accounting and ensure accurate recording of payroll-related transactions.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting under US GAAP and Indian accounting standards.
  • Analyse financial performance, budget vs. actuals, variances, and key financial trends.
  • Prepare management reports and provide actionable financial insights to the Leadership team.
  • Develop and monitor financial KPIs and reporting dashboards.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • Own the budgeting and forecasting process for US and India operations.
  • Prepare financial forecasts, scenario analysis, and long-range financial plans.
  • Monitor revenue, operating expenses, margins, cash flow, and other key financial metrics.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand financial performance and cost drivers.
  • Identify financial risks, trends, and opportunities and present recommendations to Leadership.
Treasury & Cash Management
  • Manage cash flow and working capital requirements across US and India operations.
  • Monitor daily/periodic cash positions and payment requirements.
  • Manage banking activities and coordinate with banking partners.
  • Manage fund transfers between US and India entities.
  • Monitor foreign exchange exposure relating to USD and INR transactions.
  • Support effective cash-flow and liquidity planning.
Tax, Statutory & Regulatory Compliance
  • Coordinate tax and statutory compliance activities for US and India entities.
  • Work closely with external tax advisors and consultants on tax filings, assessments, and related matters.
  • Ensure timely completion of statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Monitor changes in applicable accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and records to support compliance.
Audit & Internal Controls
  • Independently coordinate internal and external audits for US and India entities.
  • Prepare audit schedules, supporting documentation, and financial information required by auditors.
  • Maintain and strengthen financial controls and accounting processes.
  • Identify control gaps and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Ensure integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial data.
Finance Systems & Process Improvement
  • Manage finance systems and tools such as QuickBooks Online, Tally, Excel, and Power BI.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across accounting and reporting systems.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement within finance operations.
  • Improve month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, and financial control processes.
  • Work with internal technology/reporting teams to improve dashboards, reporting, and financial visibility.
Business Partnership & Leadership Support
  • Act as a key finance partner to the Leadership team for financial and business-related decisions.
  • Provide timely financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support business planning.
  • Independently manage finance-related queries and requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate effectively with HR, Operations, Sales, Legal, auditors, tax advisors, and other functions as required.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and accuracy while handling sensitive financial information.

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or CA (India) is preferred.
Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting.
  • Strong experience managing finance operations across US and India entities.
  • Hands‑on experience in accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, treasury, compliance, and audit.
  • Experience working with US GAAP and Indian accounting standards.
  • Prior experience in a multinational or globally distributed organisation is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and Indian accounting standards.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting, FP&A, cash management, and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel; experience with Power BI, QuickBooks Online, and Tally is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and financial acumen.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple finance activities and priorities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of ownership, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
