Job summary

SCIEX, a Danaher operating company, invites applications for Senior Field Service Engineer roles in Hyderabad. You will perform installation, repair and preventive maintenance of mass spectrometry and HPLC instruments on-site, ensuring compliance with service protocols.

The role requires hands-on expertise in analytical instrumentation, strong troubleshooting skills, and willingness to travel as needed. You will report to the Service Manager in Hyderabad and play a key part in delivering

Qualifications

• MSc or BE in Electronics or Instrumentation with specialization in Analytical Instrumentation.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in life sciences or related industry.
• Strong understanding of analytical instrumentation service, particularly mass spectrometry and HPLC.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing system failures and determines most effective solution.
• Escalating complex issues to greater level of technical support or quality reporting system.

The Senior Field Service Engineer Will Be Responsible For

• Conducting service, repair and/or installation of Mass Spectrometry and HPLC instruments in accordance with service protocols.
• Diagnosing system failures and determines most effective solution.
• Escalating complex issues to greater level of technical support or quality reporting system.
• Responding to customer support calls within the assigned territory.

This position reports to the Service Manager, Hyderabad and is part of the Field Technical Service located in Hyderabad & will be an on-site role.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Complete and successfully pass assigned training for relevant products and responsibilities.
• Deliver high-quality installation, repair, and maintenance services for mass spectrometry instruments, including escalation support.
• Manage critical service calls with a strong customer‑centric approach.

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

• MSc or BE in Electronics or Instrumentation, with specialization in Analytical Instrumentation.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in the life sciences or a related industry.
• Strong understanding of analytical instrumentation service, particularly mass spectrometry & additional experience in HPLC

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

• Ability and willingness to travel, overnight /outstation calls with short notice, if required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
• Complex Analytical instrumentation techniques
