Job summary

TGBPL TP India - GBS is hiring for a Payroll Specialist role in Jaipur, India. The successful candidate will be responsible for calculating gross and net pay, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with payroll legislation.

Job Responsibilities

• Calculate gross and net pay amounts including salary, overtime, shift payments, sales commissions, bonuses, deferred compensation, benefits, tax withholdings, deductions, payroll liabilities, etc.
• Maintain payroll-specific records (changes in wage/salary rates, pension, insurance, mandatory deductions, new hires, terminations, leave of absence, etc.).
• Reconcile payroll records (payments, deductions, general ledger entries for wages).
• Verify and administer payroll data.
• Monitor and manage payroll legislation compliance.
• Answer questions from employees and supervisors regarding payroll matters.
• Maintain records on vacation, sick leave, etc. (if applicable).

Qualifications and Experience

Position requires a professional/university degree and approximately 1-2 years of practical professional experience in payroll or related field. Expected to execute established standards independently, develop knowledge, share best practices, and continuously improve day-to-day activities/processes. May act as a formal team leader of more junior co‑workers and set day‑to‑day operational objectives.
