Job summary

CMR Group in India is seeking a Sr. Exec/AM - Dispatch (Shift Operation) to plan transport availability, coordinate with third-party vendors, and ensure timely deliveries of ingots and liquid alloys from plants.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years in dispatch/logistics in manufacturing, a bachelor’s degree, and strong knowledge of dispatch software and GPS tracking. Willingness to work rotational shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized institute.
• MBA/PG/Diploma in supply chain management/Material Management/Business Administration from a reputed institute.
• 3–6 years of experience in a dispatch, logistics or transportation role in manufacturing or service industry.
• Stable career history: not more than 2 employers in the last 5 years.
• Strong knowledge of dispatch software and GPS tracking systems; knowledge of regional transportation regulations.

Qualification:

Candidate should have bachelor’s degree in any stream from recognized institute.

MBA/PG / Diploma in supply chain management / Material Management/Business Administration, or a related field form any reputed institution.

Experience:

Essential: Minimum 3–6 years of experience in a dispatch, logistics or transportation role in any manufacturing or service industry.

Stable career history: not more than 2 employers in the last 5 years.

Strong knowledge of dispatch software and GPS tracking systems.

Knowledge of transportation regulations specific to the region.

Dispatch of bulk or metal products such as ingots or liquid alloy (added advantage).

Job Profile:

Plan the availability of transport vehicles to adhere to timely delivery to customers.

Maintain strong relationships with third-party vendors for provision of logistics from plants.

Liaise closely with the respective departments for dispatch of customer orders as per the dispatch plan.

Guide loading and unloading operations of finished goods into containers, adhering to the specific requirements of each product.

Coordinate with internal departments to implement policies for handling goods rejected by customers.

Prepare and analyse last-day reports of ingot and liquid alloy movement from plants.

Review ingot alloy stacking and packaging norms before dispatch.

Follow up with customers on overdue payment receipts and shortages.

Dispatch Coordination

Schedule and dispatch drivers, vehicles and equipment to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications or needs.

Monitor vehicle and driver performance to ensure timely deliveries.

Adjust dispatch schedules to accommodate unexpected events such as traffic delays, weather conditions or urgent orders.

Shipment Tracking

Track the status of dispatched orders and provide real-time updates to customers and relevant teams.

Use tracking systems and software to monitor and document all shipments.

Documentation

Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including driver logs, delivery times and customer interactions.

Ensure all dispatch documents, such as bills of lading and delivery receipts, are completed accurately and on time.

Compliance

Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards.

Monitor and enforce adherence to company policies on vehicle use and driver conduct.
