Job summary

Vertiscript Global is seeking an experienced professional for the Data Platform Operations team based in Bengaluru, India. The role involves supporting and maintaining the ETL platform and working with key warehouse tools like Abinitio and Control-M within an Agile environment.

The ideal candidate will have 6–8 years of experience, deep knowledge of ETL architecture, and proficiency in SQL. A background in AWS services and strong scripting skills in Unix/Linux and Python are preferred.

Qualifications

Job Description

This role is part of the Data Platform Operations team supporting the current and next-generation warehouse platform on AWS. The candidate will work on data warehouse ETL tools and technologies such as Abinitio, Snowflake/Oracle, and Control-M to deliver a scalable, highly available operational warehouse platform.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain the ETL platform built on AWS.
• Plan and execute system upgrades of existing warehouse application tools with the Systems Engineering team.
• Work with developers and architects to advise on standards and best practices.
• Maintain technical documentation and engineer knowledge bases.
• Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ETL architecture and development (Abinitio preferred).
• Deep understanding of data warehouse concepts, schemas, and architectures.
• Proficiency in SQL (Oracle, MySQL).
• Experience with enterprise scheduling tools such as Control-M.
• Extensive operations support experience on the above-mentioned applications.
• Ready to work UK shift.

Programming & Development Skills

• Strong scripting skills in Unix/Linux and Python.
• Experience maintaining version control with Git.

Preferred Skills

• AWS cloud knowledge and services (Lambda, EMR, Athena, Glue, Redshift).
• Dashboard and metrics collection using Grafana or Datadog.
• Automation of monitoring frameworks for key business jobs.

Education

BE/B.Tech/MCA or equivalent.

Experience

6–8 years of relevant experience in ETL and data warehouse domains.
