Job description

This position involves working in the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire) Design Engineering Team at Axium Global Pvt. Ltd. at its Global Delivery Centre in Andheri, Mumbai.

Axium Global's MEP Design & Engineering Team consists of skilled professionals, including Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineers with varied experience. The team delivers comprehensive Building Services Design Solutions to MEP clients across the world. Axium Global Pvt. Ltd. has successfully delivered MEP services for numerous projects over the years, including Hospitals, Airports, Stadia, Educational Institutions, Commercial Buildings, and Residential Developments.

This position requires the candidate to work directly with leading MEP design consulting firms from the Australia, USA, and UK regions who are involved in some of the flagship projects in their respective countries.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Sr. Manager MEP Design & Engineering.
• Responsibility for providing project take-offs and associated documentation for the purpose of tendering.
• Ability to understand electrical drawings, calculations, schedules, schematics, and quantify accordingly.
• Experience in Communications, Security, Audio Visual, and Nurse Call Services will be an added advantage.
• Experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud, specifically Autodesk Takeoff, will be considered an advantage.
• Ability to work independently.
• Regular communication with clients regarding project requirements and estimations.
• Understanding of project-specific local codes and standards and utilization of the latest industry-leading software.
• Ability to take on a leadership role with the potential to build and manage a growing team.
• Train and mentor other team members as required.
• Ability to independently communicate with clients, stakeholders, leaders, and peers in written and spoken English.
• Ability to independently perform take-offs using software such as Bluebeam.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Ability to learn and work on new software and technologies.
• Willingness to undertake offshore visits to clients' offices, if required, for detailed training and one-to-one sessions.

• Good knowledge of digital engineering, estimation processes, commercial aspects of design and installation, and site installation and commissioning processes.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech Degree in Electrical Engineering with relevant technical qualifications.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical Estimation.
• Experience using estimation software such as ConEst or ProEst.
• Experience working with Autodesk Revit.
• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (Docs, Takeoff & Build).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Proven experience in independently managing client communication.
