Qualifications

Job Responsibilities

• Undertaking Environmental screening,
• Carrying out Environment and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) studies,
• Preparing of Environment and Social Management Plan (ESMP) for projects related to Jetty/ Terminal locations, waterside, shoreside construction areas, etc.
• Undertaking Environmental and Social Monitoring programs to ensure effective implementation of ESMP in line with the World Bank's Environmental and Social Framework (ESF).
• Support in obtaining and managing statutory environmental clearances, CRZ clearance (if applicable), and NOCs from SPCBs and MoEFCC.
• Support in drafting ToRs, tender documents, and environmental sections of technical reports.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, local communities, and government bodies on environmental issues

Desired Profile

• Experience years in EIA studies, ESMP preparation and monitoring
• Prior experience with World Bank/ADB/JICA-funded projects or knowledge of World Bank ESF/OPs is an added advantage.
