Job summary

Insight Enterprises is seeking a Senior Enterprise Cloud Architect to define, evolve, and govern the architectural direction across Google Cloud Platform. You will lead the design and deployment of secure, resilient, and cost-effective enterprise cloud foundations, with hands-on leadership and mentoring across cross-functional teams.

Expect to translate designs into IaC templates, partner with security and FinOps, and drive high availability, scalability, and performance in large IT

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Google Professional Cloud Architect certification (or ability to achieve within 90 days).
• Minimum 10+ years of work experience in cloud or infrastructure engineering, with 4+ years on GCP.

In this role, you will lead the design and deployment of secure, resilient, highly available, and cost-effective enterprise cloud platform foundations.Key Responsibilities:Design, build, and evolve reusable enterprise reference architectures and platform patterns on GCP covering compute, storage, networking, IAM, and data infrastructureTranslate architectural designs into versioned, modular Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/OpenTofu) templates and automated CI/CD pipelines managed via GitHub.Partner with Cloud Security teams to embed IAM, encryption, network segmentation, VPC designs, and policy-as-code guardrails into core infrastructureCollaborate with FinOps teams to build cost governance, tagging strategies, and resource efficiency into all architectural patterns.Define enterprise standards for telemetry, logging, observability, and operational production readiness to maintain high availabilityLead architectural review boards, quality-review infrastructure code, and conduct experiments or proof-of-concepts (PoCs) to validate technical solutions.Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentoring engineers and communicating complex designs clearly to cross-functional stakeholdersAssist the Project Managers and Clients in making high-impact decisions to improve the quality/time-to-market of the delivery where relevantBe AmbITious: This opportunity is not just about what you do today but also about where you can go tomorrow.
