Job summary

Genpact in Bengaluru seeks a Sr. Engineer - Testing & Quality Assurance to design, implement, and maintain automated test solutions using Java, Selenium, and Playwright.

The role involves functional, regression, and end-to-end testing across web applications, with CI/CD integration and AI-assisted QA approaches. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in CS/IT/ENG.
• Hands-on with Java and object-oriented programming.
• Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver and Playwright.
• Experience in API testing and backend validation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and test management tools.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Java, Selenium, and Playwright.
• Design and execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop reusable automation components using JavaScript/TypeScript with Playwright.
• Maintain and enhance Selenium-based automation frameworks using Java.
• Perform web application automation across multiple browsers and environments.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines and analyze test execution results.
• Leverage AI/Generative AI capabilities to improve test automation, test-case generation, test analysis, and QA processes.
• Analyze automation failures, troubleshoot issues, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects in collaboration with development teams.
• Participate in test planning, requirement analysis, code reviews, and release validation.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure application quality.
• Perform database validation and backend data verification when required.
