Job summary

TMUS Global Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and deliver enterprise-grade tax software solutions. You will own architecture decisions within your domain and contribute to scalable backend services using .NET Core/6/7.

You will develop high-volume REST APIs, integrate tax engines with ERP systems, and optimize SQL Server databases and data pipelines. The role emphasizes modern architectures, containerization with Docker, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver enterprise-grade software solutions that support business-critical tax workflows.
• Design and develop high-volume, low-latency backend services and REST APIs using .NET Core/6/7.
• Build and optimize integration and orchestration layers, including event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ), connecting tax engines with billing and ERP systems.
• Develop and optimize SQL Server databases and ETL/data pipelines (SSIS or equivalent).
• Build and deploy containerized applications (Docker) on Kubernetes-based platforms in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or equivalent) to automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Implement observability using Splunk, Grafana, and Open Telemetry.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality and debugging.

What You’ll Do:

• As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, build, and deliver enterprise-grade software solutions that support business-critical tax workflows. This is a hands-on engineering role with growing ownership of architecture decisions within your domain.
• Design and develop high-volume, low-latency backend services and REST APIs using .NET (Core/6/7).
• Build and optimize integration and orchestration layers, including event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ), connecting tax engines (e.g., Vertex) with billing and ERP systems.
• Develop and optimize SQL Server (AWS RDS) databases and ETL/data pipelines (SSIS or equivalent) supporting tax applications.
• Build and deploy containerized applications (Docker) on Kubernetes-based platforms in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Contribute to and utilize CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or equivalent) to enable automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Implement application-level observability (metrics, logging, tracing) using tools such as Splunk, Grafana, and Open Telemetry.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality, accelerate development, and enhance debugging and troubleshooting (e.g., code generation, log analysis).
• Contribute design input within defined architectural frameworks and evaluate trade-offs at the component or feature level.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, tax, and engineering partners to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Drive modernization efforts by refactoring legacy components, improving integration patterns, and reducing technical debt.

What You’ll Bring:

• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in .NET Core/6/7 (C#) and experience building high-volume REST APIs and integrations
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) and cloud-native application development
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Experience designing and integrating event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Experience developing and optimizing SQL Server databases and ETL/data pipelines (SSIS or equivalent)
• Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or equivalent)
• Experience implementing observability and monitoring solutions (Splunk, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
• Experience integrating enterprise systems (ERP, billing, third-party platforms preferred)
• Ability to operate effectively in environments with evolving requirements
• Strong ownership mindset and clear technical communication skills
